Congratulations Zach..Pitch, Hit & Run
Congrats to Zachary DosSantos who met his goal of competing at the Scott's National Pitch, Hit & Run competition in Toronto at the Roger's Centre.
Zachary who one events at the local event in Dorchester giving him a birth to compete at the Sectional Event at the CDN Baseball Hall of Fame in St.Mary's,ON. Zachary won the overall competition narrowly beating out tough competition including defending National Champion and teammate Sam Willsie as well as fellow teammate Jaxson Cragg.
The competition or Zach at the Dome however ended a little premature as in his opening event he had a slip and fall on the Rogers Centre Turf which caused him to fall behind in his Run portion of the event and made it to difficult to catch up. The players were unfortunately not able to where their baseball cleats and had to where their running shoes on what was a watered down turf at Rogers Centre causing a few slips along the way.
Zach did finish strong with a great hit and solid pitching however it was too much to over come and he ended up with a 3rd place finish. That being said he was very proud to make it as far as he did and gave it all he could.
