Calithumpian HR Derby ~ Two Locals Represent
The Annual Calithumpian Home Run Derby was held Friday night in Thamesford as part of the Victoria Day celebrations. The Dorchester Minor Mosquitos had two representatives, Zachary DosSantos and Tyler Libby make it out to participate in the festivities and did not disappoint.
Both Players competed in the 7-9 age bracket which had roughly 20 competitors. The competitors had to drive the ball as far as the could and the balls were marked off with flags. Both players put some good swings on the ball and drove them to deep centre field. Congratulations to both players as they did us proud and took home prizes. Zachary DosSantos finished in 1st place winning the competition and Tyler Libby finished in a very solid 3rd place.
