Couple of Road game to close out May and start June!
The last game of May came on the road as the boys travelled to Tillsonburg to play the Otters for the 1st time.
Coming of a pretty successful weekend the boys were chomping at the bit to get going again. The Diamondbacks started Wade Devine and managed to get a couple innings for him as well as reliever Tyler Libby. Both pitchers struggled a bit with control walking 9 batters in 4 innings but were bailed out by their defense as well as their offense in this ball game.
The Diamondback catchers Ryker Daniel and Justin Barnes managed to gun down 5 would be base stealers in this game, throwing 3 runners out a 3rd base. Fantastic job boys.
The offense went to work scoring early and often however it was aided by control problems by the Otter pitchers who also walked 13 batters in 4 innings. The Diamondbacks however cashed many of those base runners with extra base hits from Lucas Wilson (HR/3B), Matthew Rodenburg (2-2B's), Justin Barnes (3B) and Zachary DosSantos, Wade Devine and Ryker Daniel a (2B) each.
The final tally was Dorchester 18 Otters 6.
With the victory the boys moved to 6-2 on the early season.
