July Wrap up!
After bringing home the Silver in Mitchell the Diamondbacks finished up the month will only 3 games because of a 3 week stretch for players and coaches.

The first game back saw the Diamondbacks play host to the Port Lambton Pirates for the first time since losing in last years OBA's B semi Final.  This game saw some solid play on Offense and Defense and the Diamondbacks were able to get ahead and stay ahead cruising to an 11-5 victory.  Starter Colin Langstaff head the Pirates in check and their was plenty of D.

The Diamondbacks then hit the road for two games in Sarnia and Exeter...The first game in Sarnia was a Friday night affair in which the D'backs played short handed with only 9 players available.  Zach DosSantos gave the D'backs a solid 4 innings for the win and Sam will came on in relief to shut the door the rest of the way as the Diamondbacks won a tight one 7-4.  Solid defensive plays in this one with great catches by Jaxson in left field, Zach at 3rd base and Colin solid as usual at short.  Terry Kummer and Ryker Daniel also stood tall behind the plate in this one.

The second game of the road swing brought us to Exeter where we got in to a slug fest early.  Starter Justin Barnes gave us some solid innings but had to battle a couple of miss plays by his defense and some walks early but kept us in the game. After some back and forth big hits from each team Lucas Wilson came through with HR and Ryker Daniel was sizzling going 4-5 and Matt Rodneburg had a couple of sizzlers including a 2B and Luke Norton had a smash 2B as on the night pushing the D'backs to a mercty 22-9 win.

The last game of July was at home vs the Tin Caps.  The starting pitcher in this one was Matthew Rodenburg who gave us a couple of innings of work.  He was followed by Tyler Libby and Lucas Wilson in relief.
This game went back and forth and the D'backs actually pulled it out on a walk off single by Colin Langstaff driving in Zach DosSantos for the 12-11 victory.

The Diamondbacks finished the month of July at 9-2 and move their overall record to 26-5.
