The Diamondbacks look to call ups help them in a pinch!
The Diamondbacks had to look to call ups Jeremy Couch and Ben Luksys to fill in for regulars who were holidays.
The Diamondbacks were once again short handed with holidays and were needing to win the next 3 games to secure 2nd place in the league standings for the year and had no margin for error. The D'backs looked to starter Justin Barnes to get them started and he battled through his innings. The North London team took the early lead and the Diamondback bats just could not seem to get anything going against the North starter falling behind 4-0. Picking up Barnes in this was Ryker Daniel who righted the ship and managed to hold us in the game until we could get to National relievers. The Diamondbacks were eventually able to hold on to a 8-4 victory and keep the potential 2nd place run intact. Sam Willsie and Ryker Daniel did most of the damage on offense driving in Jaxson Cragg who managed 3 BB's walks on the night. Matthew Rodenburg also had a couple key hits to help in the win.
