The push for 2nd Place!
The Diamondbacks had their own destiny in their hands as they had to win back to back games on the last two days of the season to jump ahead of the Ingersoll Ironbirds for 2nd in the League standings.

The first game of the set was a game under the lights in Byron against the West London Tin Caps.  The game was a grind at the start as starter Colin Langstaff was solid but was matched by the TinCaps ace.  The Diamonbacks did start the game with a run in the 1st and that was also matched by a big triple by the Tin Caps to tie the game.  With both teams trying to get pitchers work the offense picked up and their a lot of big hits and base runners.  The D'back offense was led by Lucas Wilson who hammered a Home Run into the right field corner scoring 3 runs and the Tin Caps answered with not one, by two bases loaded 2B's.  All in all when this one was over the D'backs managed to get out of West London with an 11-7 victory and just victory to go.  All stand out performances from this one; a sweet 1-4-3 Double play by Langstaff, Devine and Daniel.  Their was also key defensive plays by Lucas Wilson and Ty Libby.  At the plate Colin Langstaff had few knocks and Sam Willsie and Ryker Daniel showed why they are the heart of the order.  Pitching after Langstaff was Luke Norton for two innings, Wade Devine and Lucas Wilson for 1 inning each.
