Our Regular Season Schedule wrapped up against the Cardinals!
With one game to play and needing one win to clinch 2nd place in the league standings the Dbacks turned to "lefty" Justin Barnes in this one and he set the tone.
The Diamondbacks came out strong in this game led by their pitcher who shut the St.Thomas team down with help from his defense for his two strong innings. He was picked up in relief by Jaxson Cragg in season pitching debut and he did not disappoint striking out 5 of 6 batters he faced. The game closed out by Ty Libby who battled some control issues but was helped out by a great catch and double play by Lucas Wilson form Centre field. The offense in this game was led by the usual suspects of Langstaff, Willsie and Daniel all with multiple hits and RBI's. The Diamondback's cruised to a 17-1 mercy victory and secured their spot in 2nd place a top the league standings with a 17-4 record.
The Diamondbacks also close out their league and tournament play with a 30-6 record as they head into their LDBA playoffs and Labour Day weekend OBA "C: Championships in Essex.
