Division Playoff Advancement Details
IMPORTANT NOTE for the A Division:As you know, this tournament guarantees 4 games, and is designed to ensure that we get the season underway in a relaxed way.
The 10 teams in the "A" division will be broken into 3 pools.
Pool F will have 4 teams, and will play a standard round robin.
Pool G will have 3 teams, and will play round robin games against ONLY Pool H.
Pool H will have 3 teams, and will play round robin games against ONLY Pool G.
When all Pool F Play is completed, seedings for Pool F will follow basic rules, including tiebreak procedures.
After pool play is done for pools G and H, all 6 teams from Pools G and H will be entered into a single set of standings, again using any standard tiebreak procedures for rankings.
The top 5 of 6 teams in the G/H Pool will be awarded a quarter final.
The top 3 of 4 teams in the A Pool will be awarded a quarter final.
F1 will play G/H5
G/H1 will play G/H4
F2 plays G/H3
G/H2 plays F3
The Bottom team in each Pool (A4 and G/H6) will play each other in a consolation game.
The B/Select division (8 teams) will follow a standard setup with two pools of 4.
Top 2 in each pool will be awarded semifinals.
Those teams finishing 3rd and 4th in each pool will be awarded a cross-over consolation game.
