Team tryouts announced for 2018 Minor Peewee Diamondback team!!

I would like to announce the tryouts for our 2018 Dorchester Diamondback Minor Peewee baseball team will commence in the next couple of weeks at Centre Field Sports in London.  The tryouts are being held this fall to give more time for players to raise money for this year’s special Tournament experience in Cooperstown, NY., the location of Major League Baseball’s Hall of Fame.

This years’ experience will allow the team to play in an International Tournament that is a week long event that has as many as 50 teams attending.  This experience will also provide exposure to the game south of the border and at the same time they will be living among their peers and creating lasting memories and friendships.

Players eligible for this year’s team are players who are signed up with Dorchester, Thorndale and Thamesford minor baseball associations and have a 2006 birth year.

Online registration will be open for players to sign up with the association before taking part in any on field activities.

Cooperstown All-Star Village Tournament Details

Date: Aug 18th-24th

Location: Cooperstown, NY

Cost: $995US/player & coach (This is the cost before fundraising)

What do you get for this: 7 tournament games, 2 CASV Professional Allstar Jerseys, CASV Cap, 2 Pairs of socks, CASV Warm up jacket, Hall of Fame Ring, induction into the Youth Hall Fame, ticket to visit the MLB Hall of Fame, Lodging and Meals as well as Laundry service.

**The number of players being selected for this team is TBD and once the team is selected a committee will be formed by parents to raise as much as we can to bring the costs down.  The DMBA has already submitted the 1st two deposits for the team allowing to get registered for this event.

Tryout dates will be posted by the end of the week and I am hoping to post 5 dates.  Players will be expected to attend at least 3. All 5 would be best of course.

Any questions or concerns can be directed to Head Coach, Jim DosSantos at [email protected] or (519)615-4152.
