MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Regional!
Submitted By Jim DosSantos on Monday, June 11, 2018
Congratulations to our own Diamondback Major Rookie Player Massimo Commisso who competed and won the Overall title for his age group in the Regional Sectional for the MLB Pitch, Hit & Run competition in St.Mary's Ontario at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.

Massimo qualified at his local Dorchester event winning the Running portion of the competition securing him a spot in Regional finals along with a group of other Diamondback competitors across 4 divisions.  Massi was able to step up his game at the sectional winning the overall championship by securing enough points in all three events to be the winner.  With the win Massimo was able to qualify with a high enough score to compete this up coming Saturday Jun 16th at the Roger's Centre in Toronto against two other competitors for a chance to represent the Toronto Blue Jay's at the upcoming Major League Baseball AllStar game in Washington in July.  Massimo will be the 3rd straight Diamondback to qualify for the Rogers' Centre following Zachary DosSantos last season and Sam Willsie in 2016.

Best of luck Massimo and we are proud of you, go get'em!
