Strong Pitching Debut by J-Zee!
Although the final score might indicate otherwise, much was to be learned in a 14-0 loss to the Tecumsehs on Friday.
McMillan was again solid as our starter, pounding the strike zone for two innings. The London running game was aggressive, which was a great learning opportunity for the Diamondbacks. Only reaching base 7 times made it difficult to get a rally going for Dorchester, and a few blunders also handed the opposition some free outs. But the player of the game was Zeleznik in his pitching debut. He induced many ground balls, made two fine defensive plays of his own to help his cause, and struck out three in his 2.1 innings.
Next up for the D-Backs....a good practice Tuesday, and a game against Ilderton on Wednesday.
