Congratulations to a Couple Local Minor Mosquitos
Congratulations to Sam Willsie and Zachary DosSantos for winning events in the local MLB Pitch, Hit and Run Competition this past Saturday May 14th. In the most attended division the boys faced local players from London, St.Thomas, Ingersoll and Dorchester.
Zachary DosSantos won the Hitting component of the contest and will advance to the Regional competition in St.Mary's in June where he will compete in all events. Zachary was two pitching strikes away from winning the overall.
Sam Willsie mean while won the Pitching component of the contest hitting 4-6 strikes on route to winning the Overall Competition spot as well. He will also be attending the Regional competition in St.Mary's at the baseball Hall of Fame. Sam and Zachary will be representing the Diamondbacks and they will make us proud.
If one of the boys can get through the Regional event the next step is the National Competition at the Rogers Centre in Toronto where they will face National winners. From there winners go to compete at the Major League All Star event in San Diego California in July.
