Hitting The Road ~ @ Lucan
The Diamondbacks traveled to Lucan on Thursday night for their 1st road game of the year.
The game started out slow for the first 4 inngings as the pitchers were both dominating. Dback's starter Colin Langstaff had his first start of the year and was fantastic striking out 11 batters in his almost 4 innings of work while walking only 2 batters. The bats finally woke up in the middle frames as Lucas Wilson led the way at the dish with a 3-run Home Run and a double. The Diamondbacks played their game on route to a 13-4 victory to run their wining streak to 3 straight games to start the year.
**Other key notes of the game:
-Catcher Terry Kummer was awesome throwing out 3 base runners at 3rd base.
-INF/OF Zachary DosSantos laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt in the 1st inning
which led to the first run of the game.
-OF Tyler Libby played a fantastic game with hustle covering the field and solid contact at the plate
-The team welcomed back OF Wade Devine from the Injured list for his 1st game of the year and he responded with a solid game all around.
