The Monthly June recap.....
It seems like the month of June flew by with a fairly heavy schedule and lots of positives along the way.
The Diamondbacks had a solid start to month rattling off 4 straight wins to start the month. Victories against the Badgers T2, St.Thomas Cardinals, Sarnia Braves and Ilderton A's got things going and led the Dbacks into 1st place. The stay a top the standings did not last long though as the dropped a slug fest to their rival London Tecumsehs mid month and suffered only their 3rd loss of the entire season, all against those Tecumsehs as well.
The boys did rebound after the loss heading into their home tournament (Summer Slam) where the boys managed to go 5-0 with victories against TinCaps Selects, Mt.Forest, DMBA Selects twice and a Finals win over North Toronto Selects.
There final game of the month saw them face the Ingersoll Ironbirds who were a head of them in the standings going into the game however the Diamondbacks came away with a 18-3 mercy victory and finishing June with a superb 10-1 record and season total of 17-3.
The Dbacks will start up the month of July with games at home vs Exeter and then hit the road to play the Badgers.
