Diamondbacks have a rough Playoff Tourney!
Submitted By Jim DosSantos on Tuesday, September 5, 2017
The Diamondbacks battle a tough playoff schedule as well as opponents.

The Diamondbacks were put to the test through the LDBA playoffs as they were given a tough schedule making them play 4 games in less then 24 hrs.  The Dbacks opened up on Friday at 8:30pm Against the 7th seeded West London Tin Caps.  Even though the Tin Caps were the 7th seed they certainly were a tough opening draw.  The Dbacks had to battled under the lights to a 7-4 comeback victory.

After a quick turn around the Diamondbacks were back at it first thing in the morning to face the #5 seeded Exeter Express who also won their opening match up.  With some fine pitching and tough defense the Express gave the Dbacks all they could handle.  The Diamondbacks pushed hard for another come from behind victory but were robbed of that by an umpire call that did not go in their favour essentially taking 3 runs off the board as well as the  game away.   The Dbacks ended up falling 8-6.

In their third game and facing elimination the Diamondbacks faced another tough test in the #4 Seeded Sarnia Braves.  The Braves took an early lead as the Dbacks struggled to get it going.  The Diamondbacks finally started to find themselves mid way through this affair and managed to take the lead 9-7.  Unfortunately the boys could not keep the momentum and with a few break downs they saw the Braves take the lead right back.  The Diamondbacks did their best to escape being sent home but could only fall short losing 11-10 and ended their playoffs for 2017.

The boys will have a chance to regroup at the OBA "C" Championships in Essex Labour Day Weekend.
